It is tradition in most households where Judaism is practiced for the husband to bless his wife every Erev Shabbat by proclaiming Proverbs 31 over her. This portion of G-d’s word extols the virtues of a good and treasured woman, it gives the husband a chance to reflect on the blessing that his wife is to him, their children, and the community…and gives his wife the assurance that all of her hard, yet loving work has not gone unnoticed. The actual blessing begins in verse 10 and reads: |
